We’re going to be at ImagineRIT tomorrow from 10AM to 4PM in the Gordon Field House (Exhibit 483), so be sure to stop by and show your support!

Speaking of support, for those of you who don’t know we’re currently a Tier 1 SG club, which means we receive no funding through Student Government; we rely solely on fundraising, and after our next speaker comes in we’ll be out of money. This year we’ve been so busy with entrepreneurship related events and community outreach that we haven’t had the time to raise money for our own club. We can get a budget from SG if we’re bumped up to Tier 2 or Tier 3, but for that to happen we have to demonstrate that we’re active enough to warrant a tier increase. I ask that everyone show Student Government that we’re worth your tuition dollars by donating a small $10 or $5 gift to RIT SIFE, as our hard working club officers have already done. Your gift can make a difference, especially considering that all student gifts this year are being matched 1:1 by Dr. Destler. Next school year we plan on having at least 2 entrepreneurship speakers come in every quarter, but that and other great activities can’t happen without your support.

How can you give?
You can fill out a donation form, which we’ll have available at our ImagineRIT table tomorrow, at our entrepreneurship speaker event on Monday, and any other events we have this quarter. Donations are tax deductible and can be made with cash, check, or credit card. If you can’t make it to any of our events, feel free to schedule a time to meet with me and make a donation.

Thanks to the following Members who have donated so far:
Josh Tomaka - Member
Rushana Anglyamova - Secretary
Cleveland Bonner - SG Representative
Megan Soriano - Treasurer
Soham Ghosh - Vice President
Sean Hayes - President

Thank you for supporting our club!

Tonight at the Student Government Annual Banquet, our very own Academic Advisor, Peter Rosenthal, was recognized with the Advisor of the Year Award! Be sure to congratulate him when you see him.

In addition to a certificate and plaque for Peter, our club is being awarded with a $100 bonus for a pizza party celebration. More details to follow, so stay tuned.

Attached is the Advisor of the Year Application I submitted, which also links to his extensive biography on the SCB website.
